Welcome to the website of the New Mexico Chapter of HFMA. As we confront the significant financial challenges brought about from the pandemic, I encourage members to communicate regularly with each other to discuss coping strategies for the many issues we are confronting involving critical staff shortages, access to government programs to provide funding, and sourcing the clinical supplies necessary to support our mission of caring for patients.
The resources available through the National HFMA website (www.hfma.org) are significant. For our Enterprise and Individual members, please take the time to investigate the many educational articles and courses to meet continuing professional education requirements and access the certification tracks that will enhance your marketability and develop the management skills needed by the healthcare providers who employ you.
The NMHFMA board of directors is volunteer based and includes representatives from healthcare providers, our vendor partners, and community members. While the pandemic has impacted our last couple of years, we have resumed in person conference meetings and are excited to see everyone again! Our meetings provide networking opportunities and allow our sponsors to show case their services which drive best practice solutions for healthcare providers seeking to improve their financial performance.
Our next in person event will be early fall 2023 in Albuquerque, NM. Please keep an eye out for save the date emails and updates on our events page.
