Joy Mason, MHA

Joy Mason graduated from The Ohio State University with her Master of Health Administration in 2024 and earned her B.S. in Business Management in 2022 from Case Western Reserve University. While at OSU, Joy served as the Executive Chair of the Central OH HFMA Student Leadership Committee and was the Chair of OSU’s 13th Annual Health Administration Case Competition. After graduating from OSU, Joy completed her Administrative Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic and then transitioned into her first professional role as the Trauma Administrative Program Manager in the Digestive Disease Institute. During her Fellowship, Joy was a member of the Early Careerist Committee and is excited to move into a new leadership role. Joy is looking forward to collaborating with Paige and the other EC members to continue growing the committee, partnering with the Chapter for programming, and promoting meaningful opportunities for early careerist development.
Grant Mumper, MHA

Grant Mumper is a 2026 graduate from The Ohio State University’s Master of Health Administration program and a 2024 graduate from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management. During his time at Ohio State, Grant acted as the Networking Chair of Central Ohio HFMA’s Student Leadership Committee (SLC). Grant’s experience as an emergency medical technician (EMT), a resident at medical centers of varying sizes, and an active member of Central Ohio HFMA has led him to his current role as a Business Operations Analyst for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Grant sought further involvement with Central Ohio HFMA following his academic career, and he is incredibly honored to serve as one of two Co-Chairs for the Early Careerist Committee, to strengthen his connections within the world of healthcare finance, and to create new and lasting professional relationships in the field.
Dallas Ward, MHA

Dallas Ward graduated from The Ohio State University with his Master of Health Administration in 2025. During his time at OSU, Dallas contributed to the OSU Case Competition as a member of the Case Writing Committee, supporting the development of competition materials in collaboration with sponsoring partners. Following graduation, Dallas began his first professional role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center as a Business Manager for the divisions of Cardiac & Vascular Surgery. In this role, his areas of focus are physician compensation, purchasing, capital planning, and conference earnings operations. Dallas is looking forward to enhancing early careerist engagement with enterprise partners and growing the EC committee.
About Us
The Early Careerist Committee was created to meet the needs of individuals who are transitioning to a new role within the healthcare industry. Whether that be an undergraduate student assuming a full-time position, a graduate student acclimating to a new job, a current professional transitioning to a different role in the industry, or an individual returning to the workforce, this committee aims to provide well-rounded support so that its members experience a smooth transition to the professional space.
This committee is designed to be a space for collaboration, where young professionals can share ideas with others within the same experience range or position titles. Therefore, the committee’s leaders are Early Careerists themselves, as they have the best understanding of this group’s current needs in the healthcare field.
