President's Welcome

Dear Vikingland Chapter Members,

We made it! 2022 has arrived and I am looking forward to a great year. I couldn’t do this update without an updated picture of my babies; Hoss and Wrigley.

The chapter hosted our annual Winter and Women’s conferences in March. What a great opportunity it will be to gather again, in person and virtually. I was reminded in a recent Board meeting that education for our members is the foundation of HFMA. The MN Chapter is excited about the opportunity to bring this educational opportunity to you. I look forward to seeing you there!

The incoming leadership team is preparing for LTC in Arizona. They are energized and passionate to continue to grow our chapter and build our bench for succession planning. LTC gives a core group of our Chapter leaders the opportunity to strategic plan for the next fiscal year. It creates the foundation for the leadership teams going forward, it creates energy for new and growing leaders in our chapter, and it allows our chapter to network with chapters across the Nation. LTC is where I fell in love with HFMA; where I knew that I would make life long friends, build my career, and become a better Healthcare Financial leader. Thank you to our chapter sponsors for investing in our chapter so we can send a large group of leaders to this educational even each year; we appreciate YOU!

Minnesota is the place to be the next couple of years! Region 8’s Mid-America Summer Institute (MASI) will be hosted by MN 2022 and 2023!

To our Chapter Sponsors and event sponsors. Thank you! You are helping invest in the chapters education and leadership programs we offer our members. We literally could not do this without you…thank you!

To my Provider (Health System) members. We want you to be involved in the chapter. Join us at events, volunteer for a Chapter Board seat, sign up to serve as Chair or Co-Chair. We need you!

As I prepare to close out the last few months of my President year for this Chapter I want to extend my gratitude to my Officer team, my program and event Chairs and Co-Chairs, and to my Board who has provided guidance and direction for the long-term success of our Chapter. It has been a pleasure to serve you all in this role!

Until we talk again…take care my HFMA Friends – Hannah
