HFMA Comments on CMS's CY17 Medicare Hospital Outpatient PPS Proposed Rule

HFMA submitted a comment letter to CMS on the CY17 Hospital Outpatient PPS proposed rule, published in the July 14, 2016, Federal Register.

HFMA submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on the CY17 OPPS proposed rule, published in the July 14, 2016, Federal Register.

The comments addressed the concerns of HFMA’s members related to:

  • Implementation of Section 603 of the Bipartisan Budget Act (BiPA) of 2015 Relating to Payment for Certain Items and Services Furnished by Certain Off-Campus Departments of a Provider
  • Removing Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) from the Inpatient Only List
  • New Quality Measures for the Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs)
