On March 26, 2015, the House passed H.R. 2, the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) of 2015. This Act would repeal the current sustainable growth rate formula for calculating updates to Medicare payment rates to physicians and establish an alternative set of annual updates. HFMA has prepared a summary of some key provisions of the Act.
