Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the monthly financial close process including Journal Entries and producing timely and accurate financial and statistical information.
- Responsible for completing the monthly close process within stated timelines. This includes journal entry preparation and/or review, the reconciliation of data interfaces from external systems into the general ledger, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, and preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset system including addition of new assets, retirement of asset and calculation (also the monthly depreciation).
- Assists with the annual financial audit, Medicare cost report and other required reports.
- Produce and distribute the department monthly operating reports to the department leaders. Provide support regarding the budget, the operating reports and serve as a resource to answer any general financial questions.
- Responds timely with accurate information to all requests for information from external auditors and cost report preparers.
- Responsible for the proper accounting for operating and capital leases including recording right of use asset and liability along with the monthly amortization entries.
- Serves as back-up for Payroll and Accounts Payable.
- Other duties as assigned by the CFO.
