President's Welcome

On behalf of the leadership team, I would like to welcome you to the Northern New England HFMA Chapter webpage.  While you’re here, please visit our Events page to see upcoming education offerings and networking events.

The Northern New England chapter was formed in the spring of 2021; the result of a merger of two previously independent chapters: Maine and New Hampshire/ Vermont. We hope to enjoy many benefits of merging including eliminating redundancy in administrative functions, reducing costs and volunteer time, expanding educational offerings, and generating additional opportunities for our sponsors.  What has not changed is our commitment to providing quality education programs and other tools to help you navigate the many challenges that exist in our industry.

Our chapter’s success relies on members who are willing to volunteer their time to help run our chapter.  I would like to thank all the volunteers, past and present, who have served on our leadership team and committees.  I would especially like to thank the Past Presidents of the NH/VT and ME chapters, Gregory Knight and Julie Paquette; it’s an honor to follow in your footsteps!  Speaking of volunteers, if you haven’t had the opportunity to get involved, I would like to encourage you to actively participate in one of our chapter committees.  The members who get the most out of HFMA are the ones who get involved.  There are many benefits of volunteering including learning new skills and making new contacts.  To get started, email or call a board member or committee member.  View our Leadership page for contact details.

I would also like to thank our sponsors.  Their continuous support allows us to offer high quality education programs at a reasonable price for our members.  Please visit our Sponsorship page for a list of current sponsors.

Lastly, I would like to thank you for your continued membership and engagement in a time that has been challenging for all of us. We appreciate your commitment to HFMA. If you have any suggestions to improve our service or ideas for education programming or social events, please feel free to contact me directly at
