President’s Message

Dear NJ HFMA Members,

A new chapter year is a chance to set the tone for what comes next, and I want to set ours with a clear message:  We are ready for what this year brings.

The 2026-27 HFMA theme that fits our chapter well:  Dare to Solve.  Our field is facing real challenges, tighter margins, more complex payer relationships, new technologies to master and a workforce stretched thin.  Those challenges are also where opportunity lives.  Every one of them is a chance to sharpen our skills, strengthen our organizations and grow as leaders.

Dare to Solve is a call to act, not just adapt.  It means bringing solutions to the table instead of waiting for someone else to find them.  It means using this chapter as a resource, not just a network, to sharpen your thinking, expand your skill set, and land on solid answers faster than you would on your own.

Here’s how to make the most of this year:  Show up to chapter events, even the ones that aren’t convenient.  Volunteer for a committee and put your expertise to work.  Pursue the certification you’ve been putting off.  Reach out to a colleague who’s solved the problem you’re facing.  Every one of these moves you, your organization, and our chapter forward.

I’m confident about this year because I know the caliber of people in this chapter.  We have the skills, the drive, and the collective experience to meet this moment head-on.  Let’s get to work.
