Regional Executive's Welcome

It is hard to imagine my year as your Regional Executive is coming to an end. When I look back, I can’t believe how quickly the year has gone. As we move to a reconfiguration of Region 2, changing from 7 Chapters to 4, some things will change but many will remain the same:

  • Great Education
  • Networking Opportunities
  • Professional Development
  • Volunteer Opportunities
  • Regional Conference
  • Regional Webinars

The new technology potential and the ONE HFMA initiative will reveal unlimited possibilities, making it easier to collaborate with other Chapters and Regions.  We will continue to have countless opportunities to meet in person, but the chance to get numerous experiences and education in different ways opens us up to a plethora of new experiences.

  • Think Differently
  • Change as needed
  • Have Passion to make a difference
  • Never stop learning

As I wind down my three years in the Regional leadership team, I am thinking what an incredible few years it has been!  From an unprecedented pandemic to the “new normal” that we are still figuring out.   If we have learned anything from all that has happened, change is inevitable, and we can fight it or we can embrace it.   Leaders accept challenges as opportunities, not obstacles.

One of the highlights about this last year was getting to know the amazing leadership in this  Region.  Their energy, passion and talent have made this is a truly wonderful experience and I’m grateful to the entire leadership team.

It has been an honor and privilege to serve Region 2 as your Regional Executive this year.  As I hand off the baton to Debbie Trumbull, your new RE, Wendy Leo, your new RE2 and Katie Taylor the newest member of the team as RE3, I can’t wait to see what is in store for this incredible Region.

I hope to see many of you at the Region 2 Conference in October, which will be the first time we will all be able to get together as a Region in over two years.  Please be sure to mark the dates – October 12th-14th at Turning Stone.

Be involved – I promise you will get more back than you give!

Thank you for an incredible experience!
