Central Ohio Early Careerists

Early Careerist Co-Chair
B.S. in Health Information Management and Systems
The Ohio State University – Class of 2021
RHIA, CSBI

Paige Snyder is a graduate of The Ohio State University from the Health Information Management and Systems program. She was a part of the inaugural group for the creation of the Central Ohio Student Leadership committee and enjoyed all that HFMA had to offer during her student career, as she received her CSBI certification during that time.

After graduation she joined Healthrise, a revenue cycle management consulting firm, as an Analyst and transitioned into a professional member as well. Paige is grateful for the opportunities to connect with other professionals within HFMA. She looks forward to all the knowledge she can gain through each of the HFMA events and seasoned professional members as she navigates through her early careerist phase. Additionally, she is excited to kick off this new committee with her co-chair Tori and cannot wait to see where this first year goes.

Tori Lyon is also a graduate from the Health Information Management and Systems major at The Ohio State University, and she recently graduated this past May of 2022.  During her undergraduate time at Ohio State, she was involved as an active member in the Student Leadership Committee, and she enjoyed participating in the Mentorship Program this past year.

Since graduating in May, Tori has been transitioning into the Early Careerist space herself.  She joined the Acute Healthcare Reimbursement Consulting team at Plante Moran and has been acclimating to the variety of services the firm offers to healthcare clients.  Tori is excited for the opportunity to collaborate with Paige and lead the Early Careerist Committee during its inaugural year!

About Us

The Early Careerist Committee was created to meet the needs of individuals who are transitioning to a new role within the healthcare industry.  Whether that be an undergraduate student assuming a full-time position, a graduate student acclimating to a new job, a current professional transitioning to a different role in the industry, or an individual returning to the workforce, this committee aims to provide well-rounded support so that its members experience a smooth transition to the professional space.

This committee is designed to be a space for collaboration, where young professionals can share ideas with others within the same experience range or position titles.  Therefore, the committee’s leaders are Early Careerists themselves, as they have the best understanding of this group’s current needs in the healthcare field.

If you identify yourself as an Early Careerist, or believe that you could benefit from involvement with this community, please reach out to Paige Snyder ([email protected]) and Tori Lyon ([email protected]) for more information!
