Meet the 2022-2023 RE Team!

Meet the 2022-23 Regional Executive (RE) Team! Each of HFMA’s 11 regions has one individual that is elected by the chapter presidents-elect to serve as their Regional Executive on the Regional Executive Council. The Regional Executive Council sets policy and goals related to the Chapter Dashboard, Davis Chapter Management System, and Founders Merit Award Program. 

Trent Chastain

Regional Executive

With almost 40 years of experience in the field of healthcare, Trent has worked for large, mid-size, and smaller healthcare systems for both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations in the Revenue Cycle/Finance arena. Trent currently serves as the Revenue Cycle Director and Privacy Officer for Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, IN. His diversity in all aspects of revenue cycle along with working in several different states and regions such as Indiana, Florida, and North Dakota throughout the US, has helped in his growth within healthcare and the challenges and opportunities each area brings.

Trent has served in several leadership roles at the chapter level with Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), including Past-President of the North Dakota Chapter in Region 8 and currently holds the Regional Executive position for Region 7. He is currently an HFMA member with the Indiana Pressler Memorial Chapter.

Dan Yunker

Regional Executive 2

Dan Yunker, CEO, Crowe Healthcare Risk Consulting, currently serves as Regional Executive 2. The First Illinois Chapter HFMA is Dan’s home chapter where he was chapter president in 2013-14 and currently is a member of the First Illinois HFMA Scholarship Committee. He has co-chaired the chapter’s CFO Committee and Annual Executive Golf Invitational event and as an HFMA volunteer for the past 20+ years, Dan has been recognized with the organization’s highest levels of recognition awards. Since joining HFMA, Dan has held various executive roles including (CFO, VP, SVP, and CEO) in both provider, consulting, and payer organizations and for 10+ years has served as a professor at The University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health. Dan also held a leadership staff role in the HFMA offices from 1999-2005. Dan believes that HFMA has contributed to his career growth, acquisition of deep industry expertise, and has been a critical component to assembling a high relationship network. 

Adam Lynch

Regional Executive 3

Adam’s membership in HFMA began nearly two decades ago.  As a member of the First Illinois chapter, Adam received the Bronze, Silver and Gold merit awards while serving in leadership capacities including as Chapter President.  Previously, Adam served as a Regional Executive for Region 7 from 2016 through 2019.

Adam has spent his career working to optimize patient care through strategies that minimize variable costs and eliminate balance sheet erosion.  His experience involves developing solutions for healthcare providers with an emphasis on capital markets, valuation, advisory, shared services, technology, and pharmaceutical distribution. Adam was formerly CFO with Humboldt Park Health and is currently serving as the Vice President of Corporate Development and External Affairs with NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes in Beloit, Wisconsin.  NorthStar offers a cost neutral, environmentally preferable product that strengthens the supply chain for nuclear medicine departments of hospitals. HFMA has been an integral part of Adam’s career development.  As an HFMA volunteer, his membership has provided tremendous return both professionally and personally.
