Regional Executive’s Welcome

Welcome to HFMA Region 1 – a dynamic and collaborative community where healthcare financial professionals connect, learn, and grow, all within the unique charm of New England. Thank you for making HFMA an important part of your professional journey.

This year, as we celebrate HFMA’s 80-year history, we proudly align with HFMA Chair Matthew Cox’s theme, “Dare to Solve.” It is a call to action – to embrace change with creativity and boldly address the complex challenges shaping our industry’s future. There is no better way to advance this vision than through collaboration with your HFMA peers.

Region 1 is proud to host its 25^th Annual Healthcare Conference on May 26-27, 2027 at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT. We invite you to join more than 300 attendees at this premier event, featuring outstanding educational content and valuable networking opportunities.

I’m truly grateful for the strong collaboration across our regional leadership team – Kim Carlozzi (RE 2), Greg Knight (RE 3), Rob Gilbert (COO), and Anne Cloutier (Treasurer). A special thank you to Amy Vaughan, Immediate Past Regional Executive, for her outstanding leadership and the foundation she has built for continued success. I’d also like to recognize our Chapter Presidents – Kyle Dunleavy (Connecticut), Julie Hall (Massachusetts-Rhode Island), and Chris Mouradian (Northern New England) – and extend my sincere thanks for their leadership and commitment.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers for the time and energy you dedicate to HFMA. We encourage others to get involved too – if you’re interested, please reach out to your local chapter leadership. While it requires an investment of time, volunteering is highly rewarding, offering valuable professional development and meaningful connections.
