Elizabeth Staas, Vice President, Meduit
2026-2027 Region IV Regional Executive
Elizabeth is an advocate for better business in healthcare. She is a tenured and proven leader in positioning balance in the financial and clinical experience of patients while ensuring healthcare providers receive prompt and proper reimbursement for the valuable services they provide. With a focus in revenue cycle, Elizabeth Staas works directly with hundreds of hospital leaders nationwide as well as other healthcare providers as a subject matter expert in workflow efficiency coupled with automation and thus balanced with the preservation of positive clinical outcomes. She currently serves as a Vice President for Meduit, a company healthcare leaders rely on for revenue cycle management bycreating patient loyalty through a better financial experience.
She currently serves as the HFMA Regional Executive supporting the Region IV Chapters of Virginia-DC, Maryland, North Carolina, West Virginia and Kentucky. Elizabeth has also served as Past President for the Virginia-DC Chapter of HFMA. She has chaired and organized multiple HFMA and AAHAM Educational Events centered on Revenue Cycle, Technology and Payment Reform as well as spoken across the nation to chapters seeking education. At the commencement of her career, she served on the Virginia AAHAM Board as well. She also served the National HFMA Chapters 2.0 Committee with a concentration on enhancing education across the continuum by providing more collaborative offerings to benefit the nuances of our industry. She has lobbied at both state and federal levels to reduce wasted efforts affecting the healthcare revenue cycle. Elizabeth has received the HFMA Follmer Bronze, Reeves Silver and the Muncie Gold Merit Awards as well as The Founders Medal of Honor for outstanding service to HFMA as well as certification via CRCR.
James Case, Principal – KPMG

James Case is the Washington D.C. Healthcare Advisory Lead Partner at KPMG, where he works closely with healthcare organizations to help them navigate change and improve performance. He brings deep experience in clinical care operations, financial and demand modeling, and strategy, with a practical approach that connects strategy to day-to-day results. Over the years, James has partnered with clients on everything from reimbursement and business planning to service line strategy, always with an eye toward strengthening both care delivery and financial sustainability. He also collaborates with providers and state stakeholders on complex payment model initiatives that support long-term improvement across the healthcare system.
Christine Sibley, MBA, EJD, CPA, CMA, FHFMA
2026-2027 Region IV Regional Executive 3
Christine Sibley is an experienced healthcare finance and reimbursement leader with more than 30 years of service across major U.S. health systems and Canadian financial institutions. A Fellow of HFMA and long‑standing chapter leader, she brings deep expertise in Medicare reimbursement, regulatory strategy, provider‑based policy, and organizational leadership to her role as Regional Executive 3 for HFMA Region 4.
Christine has been an HFMA member since 2005 and has earned multiple engagement awards, including the Medal of Honor. She has served in numerous leadership roles within the North Carolina Chapter, including committee chair, council chair, officer, and Immediate Past President. She co‑developed and facilitated the Healthcare Finance 101 Bootcamp, moderated panels for major chapter programs, and authored award‑winning articles for the TarHeel News.
Professionally, Christine retired in 2025 as Assistant Vice President of Reimbursement at Advocate Health, where she led system‑wide reimbursement strategy, regulatory monitoring, provider enrollment, cost report oversight, and government program policy. She previously held progressive reimbursement and revenue leadership roles at WakeMed Health & Hospitals and senior management positions at RBC Financial Group.
Christine also serves as contributing faculty at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, teaching graduate‑level courses in organizational leadership, HR management, healthcare policy, and ethics. She is committed to developing future healthcare leaders and strengthening HFMA’s mission through collaboration, education, and member engagement.
She resides in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
