Chris Maeder
2026-2027 Region 6 Regional Executive
Chris Maeder is the current Region 6 Regional Executive 2 following after being dedicated member of the Northeast Ohio chapter since 2005, where he led programming and communications committees prior to serving for two years as chapter president. Chris is a Director with Alvarez & Marsal following 18 years in various finance roles within the University Hospitals system in Cleveland. Chris is a CPA in the state of Ohio and holds multiple HFMA designations including FHFMA, CHFP and CSBI.
Michael Felczak, FHFMA
2026-2027 Region 6 Regional Executive II
I am a Senior Manager at Plante Moran in our Acute Healthcare Management Consulting practice and am a leader who is well-versed in healthcare finance, reimbursement, and decision support. I am focused on reimbursement optimization and strategic finance, including budgets, forecasts, feasibility models, proformas, cash flow management, and service line analysis. My client base is primarily hospitals and health systems, and I also serve several post-acute providers. My industry experience allows me to relate to my clients’ needs as I have roughly 15 years of experience on the provider side in large regional and national health systems, in addition to over six years of consulting experience at professional service firms.
I am the current Regional Executive III for Region 6 of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Past President of the Michigan Great Lakes Chapter. I have been a member of the legacy Eastern Michigan Chapter board since 2016 and saw our chapter through its consolidation in 2020. I am a past Education Director and have also served as the co-chair of the Reimbursement Committee for several years. I have been an active member of HFMA since 2009 and have volunteered in chapter leadership positions since 2012. I received my Fellowship (FHFMA) in 2019 and the Muncie Gold merit award in 2024.

Jeffrey Carranza
2026-2027 Region 6 Regional Treasurer
Jeffrey Carranza is currently serving as the Region 6 Treasurer for HFMA and have been a proud member of the HFMA family for more than 20 years. Prior to my regional role, I served as Treasurer for the Central Ohio Chapter for over six years, where I enjoyed supporting the chapter’s financial stewardship and member initiatives.
Professionally, I have been with OhioHealth Corporation for nearly 21 years. In my current role, I oversee cash finance operations and Epic-related cash transaction processes, helping ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of key financial systems.
Outside of work, I value spending time with my son, Christian, who resides in Tampa, as well as making memories with family and friends. In my spare time, I enjoy biking, walking, skiing, hiking, camping, and just about any activity that allows me to appreciate the outdoors, fresh air, and great company.
